personality. Calling him "The Gentleman" is a tongue-in-cheek sentiment. While at first glance the elezen may come across like a polite, proper man, the people who know him best. The people who know him beyond a simple introduction know all too well the mask he wears in the shape of an award-winning grin. The giveaway is in the eyes, that he'll likely shank you for your coin while he's helping your elderly grandmother across the street.After all, he is a pirate. In truth, Camsyn thrives off of his reputation of being pristine and proper, despite his choice of professions not being even a little bit secret to anyone at all. He delights in the fact that most write his older brother, Cerothyn, off as the degenerate son, the disgusting, filthy, immoral pirate over his angelic baby brother. Because, if we're being honest...What they don't know can't hurt him.

camsyn is quiet, but it's not because he doesn't have anything to say. more often than not he's watching, listening, learning, saving up any information he gathers for when it's best beneficial for him to use it against someone else.
headcanon two: showertime superstar
while he's not one for the spotlight like some of his other family members and associates, he's been known to hum a jaunty tune while he's working and he has a habit of singing when he's by himself. rumor has it he has a lovely voice.
headcanon three: might beat you with it
while people rarely see it outside of his cabin, camsyn is known to use a cane from time to time to support an old knee injury caused by none other than his father, rielen zeddicus. asking about it usually just warrants a smile and silence from the captain.
headcanon four: jack of all trades, master of none
while camsyn is known to carry a variety of weapons on him, from his sword, to his knives and throwing daggers, to a pistol at his hip, he's also well-versed in the art of red magic. he never really saw a point in sticking to one particular trade, instead finding it beneficial to learn multiple.

The house of wolves, as many call it.Once you know them, really know them, you start to understand just how fitting it really was. The family is known for their greed, pride, assassination and ties to the black market. With many enemies, it's no wonder they're so merciless.The name Zeddicus used to mean nothing; it was a simple name.There were no ties to the criminal world, there was no wealth, and there was no empire. Rielen’s father was a blacksmith and his mother? She was nothing more than a bandit. He was meant to take over his father’s craft and nothing more; a simple life. However, something inside the young boy wanted more, perhaps he got that from his mother. He wanted to make his mark on the world and, at first, it was an innocent thought. There was no darkness to it but then that thought became an obsession.No more would the name Zeddicus be nothing; it would be whispered in lavish parties and it belonged in history.It wasn't until Rielen met Lilia that he made it all happen years later. He took his family of Duskwights, ripping them from the shroud's safety, to the icy and stoned walls of Ishgard.

Camsyn, perhaps, had the makings of being the perfect son. The baby of the original Zeddicus brood, his polite, neutral behavior was just a mask for how ruthless he really was beneath the surface. Not one to be crossed, he was the sort to take names and never ask any questions, just the way that Rielen liked it.What a shame that he didn't like the way Rielen ran things.Far more than his father, his mother, his sister, or even his older brother, Drais, Camsyn idolized his other brother, Cerothyn. When Cerothyn took his leave from House Zeddicus, Camsyn was quick to follow. He purchased the Bleeding Raven and took to piracy. He was never far from Cerothyn's side, whether it by sea or sky.To this day, he leads a loyal crew (who are rumored to be loyal out of fear more than anything else, but once again, it's a rumor, right?). More often than not, they're running everything from drugs to magical artifacts for an organization known as The Lotus. He's a bit of an enigma, coming and going from the mainland without warning.

at port, at sea, in the sky. wherever he may be, camsyn has a reputation for being a gentleman, even if he's anything but. his penchant for the ladies is well-known, just like his tendency to make like a ghost a disappear the second the sun rises.

camsyn jumped from one kingpin's grasp to another's just because he felt it suited him better. whether that assumption was accurate or not is up in the air, but the lotus has its fingers dipped in a lot of pools. if your character has any association with the lotus and its agents, be it friend or foe, they may have run into the captain.
